"While the staff was nice the food was completely sub-par. We felt like the person cooking did not know what they were doing, from rare steaks served well done to items served with the supermarket s packaging. Other tables left half the way through their meal too. I am sure there was something really wrong that evening. Nevertheless, all the staff was genuinely nice!"

"Lovely restaurant in the Main Street in Cockermouth. The owner and his wife as well as their service are friend and helpful. The food was very good! Having just been in Turkey 6 months ago, I must say the food in this restaurant was better than in Turkey. We ordered a few starters and mains and everything was absolutely delicious! My personal favorites were: sigara boregi (filo pastry rolls filled with feta), Ali nazik kebab (lamb kebabs on a bed of aubergine and pepper yogurt). For dessert, the Antem Katmer is one of the best desserts I’ve tried! Will definitely be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Ordered 2 pizzas quite late, just received well before estimated time and they are perfect! I'm not usually a take away person and have been disappointed plenty. From now on Charcoal Grill will be my go to! Thank you so much! Hot fresh and delicious"

"First time visiting this restaurant as was recommended by a friend and what a superb experience! We were late getting there due to a traffic accident. We rang and explained this to the restaurant, they were so accommodating and understanding about this, so needless to say the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food, and everything we ate was so delicious. If you’ve not been. You must!"

"Staying in Cockermouth and needed takeaway for the family. Spotted Lee’s on the internet and the combination of a Chinese chippy looked ideal. Called in and was served by friendly people. Order for people took about mins. Food was excellent and just what...a hungry family needed after a hard day’s walking in the Lake District"

"If I could rate 0 I would, I appreciate people might not agree with a bad review as we didn’t eat in the end, on arrival to a new normal wait here desk to note details for track and trace it took around 5 minutes for anyone to notice us, placed next to a window covered in flies, which isn’t a great sign in the current situation, it took 12 minutes for anyone to come over to the table who then when asked told us food would take around 45 minutes, which wouldn’t be acceptable for fine dining never mind this style of food (which when you can get it is good, don’t get me wrong) there was maximum 20 people in the restaurant which isn’t a mean feat for any eatery, maybe the concept was better suited in a smaller cafe style environment as opposed to a giant bar/restaurant lacking in atmosphere. More competent front of house and kitchen staff who can deliver food in acceptable times would help."
