What JohnJJeepers doesn't like about New Asia Restaurant:
So online with New Asia Restaurant, a dinner for three shows for 53.95. Normally this priced out individually would be 67.30 before GST. Now first off the food that did come was bland, not good at all like it used to be. Lukewarm, egg rolls were burnt. Overall just mediocre at best. Chinese food places in town, have gone really down hill while jacking up their prices. Look at my order....dinner for three 57.95....to... View all feedback.
We stopped here for lunch. Staff were friendly but the food was very bland and tasteless. Not a place that we would try again.
We all like to go somewhere and have decent westernized Chinese food. We want our spring rolls, chicken chow mien, s&s pork and chicken balls. This delivered. It was simple, good, crispy and hot. Did not deviate too far from the expected fare and made my tummy happy.
We did an overnight in Whitehorse on our long journey from Dawson City back to the east coast of the US. We were very tired and as our transport from the airport to the Best Western entered the hotel lot, we saw this restaurant. As we didn't know the city, and didn't want to walk far, we went for dinner. You won't write home about the quality/quantity of the food. It could have been served hotter. I had the shrimp chow mein and it filled me, but not the great food experience of 2018.
Dropped by to order takeout dinner, ordered Ginger pork, bbq pork fried noodles combo When tried the ginget pork at the hotel room, it was hard like a 50 yr old jerkey. It tasted like recooked leftover from their lunch buffet, it was unedible. Had to go back and ask for something else as replacement. The lady was apologetic about it, but its not right to serve recooked leftover as new food.
We actually went to New Asia for Christmas Eve dinner and had an awesome time. There weren't a lot of choices and we weren't picky. We had the option of the menu or the buffet but chose the buffet. This is not gourmet Chinese food, but it was freshly made and there was plenty of it. It was a busy night (all tables full) and staff really worked hard to make sure everyone had their fill.
