The Patio At Mcguiggan's - Whitman

The first time I went it wasn?t awful. Just ok. I thought I?d give it another shot. The decor is very cool, but the food and service, were definitely subpar. I got the Mediterranean salad with chicken. The chicken was seasoned poorly, if at all, and it was very dry. My husband got steak tips and they came out cold. It took 15 minutes to get our cocktails and the waitress never offered us any water, and although she was friendly, she wasn?t very attentive. All in all, it was very disappointing.

This place was great! The waitress was excellent. The food was delicious. They did offer small portions for the price, we were kind of surprised. For what we paid we did leave still hungry and that was disappointing. We will give it another go though.

The ambiance is nice! Felt like industrial meets brewery with the accordion style windows that open to the street. Manager was helping out the staff. The food was soooo good! Cannot stop thinking about the Kogi wings, could literally eat those every day for every meal. Going back soon!

So we go to the pub side normally and love it. This Wednesday night we went to the patio side about 7:15. We expected to have to wait for a table with 4 of us but were surprised to be seated in just a few minutes. Unfortunately that is where the good ends. It was close to 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order and left before we could put in apps. Almost 10 more minutes to get 3 of the 4 drinks water, sprite and a beer) 4 th beer they were out of so we placed a new drink order. Again almost 10 minutes passed and still didn't get the drink or put in any order. We waited a little longer and then approached the bar to just pay the tab so we could leave. The woman serving asked so you don't want this beer now? Yes we did, a while ago. No mention of maybe they were short staffed or a heads up that service may be slow or in this case almsot not there. It seems to the be case with a few other parties around us also. In the end we paid the 10.00 or so tab go not sorry for the experience or anything. Was more than disappointed. I'll stick to the pub side for now. Update to this review 4-21-22, a manager reached out to try and explain the night and problems at hand, even sent a gift card to make up for the night. Much appreciated and we will give them a shot again.
