What Dave Turner likes about Wheeler’s Oyster Bar:
The bus driver recommended this place and I totally agree with him. We had the yuzu granita oyster which were delicious. Also the seared scallops with pork and butternut puree. Should have tried some more of their small plates. The lady at the counter was very helpful too. Definitely a must visit in Whitstable and one to come back again for their changing menu's. With recommendations from locals and bus drivers alike, this restaurant offers a tapas-style menu with small plates perfect for sharing. The yuzu granita oysters and seared scallops are standout dishes, and the changing menu keeps diners coming back for more. While Wheelers doesn't have an alcohol license, guests can bring their own for a small corkage fee. The option to preorder a picnic box adds to the charm, allowing patrons to enjoy a beach picnic.
