We stayed in the Novum Prinz Eugen hotel nearby from Feb 7-14th. We had dinner in Bohmerwald twice during the week. Our first visit was very positive. My wife and I both had soup to start followed by Jaegerschnitzel for my wife while I tried...the Tafelschpitz. We were both really happy with our food and the beer was also great. It was all fairly inexpensive also and so we resolved to go back again later that week. U... View all feedback.
What Gayle Tromp doesn't like about Böhmerwald:
I was there recently on a social occasion with about 50 people for dinner and it was one of my worst experiences in the last 10 years! We were staying close to this restaurant and it seemed like the best restaurant in the area. Traditional food and ambience. The meat was good but frozen veg, chips and rosti. It cost €50 for a bottle of wine and 2 main courses which isn't...bad for Vienna. A pleasant evening.
This restaurant exactly fulfills all my expectations and requirements I have at the restaurant. Pleasant environment, quality Czech, Slovak and Austrian food, excellent Czech beer, all at affordable prices. I can highly recommend anyone who appreciates the quality price ratio.
Traditional Czech food. There were 3 different vegan options. We had the grilled vegetables and the champignons with fries. The food was good, but the portions were way too small and not very filling (no side to the vegetables, not much protein with the mushrooms).
Clearly marked vegan options and very good food! Updated from previous review on 2023-08-22
… than expected. There are three vegan option. I had the Spinach Lasagne and I very much enjoyed it Its a rustic Viennese Restaurant, which you wouldn’t aspect to have vegan options, but in Vienna every is possible. PS: Although it seems old everything is extremely clean.
