My wife, son and I visited the Onyx Bar on our last trip to Vienna. It was hyped as an excellent view of the city. However, the view is limited to the view of the St. Stephen's Cathedral, which is directly opposite. as you expect the drinks were very expensive, and the bar staff were not just friendly and welcoming, it was busy, but counting first impressions within a tourist industry.
