"We only stopped by for a drink on a Sunday just before lunchtime. The place is nice with a chalet feel to it but the main restaurant is furnished in a more modern way, less wood, sparsely decorated and bright. The waiters are very well dressed, women in traditional Swiss dirndls and the men in waistcoats and ties. I took a look at their menu and their chef, who is mentioned all over the menu as well as in the introduction, seems to be well known and commands a 15 person kitchen brigade. Lots of repeaters seemed to be coming in for their weekly Sunday meals. The menu looked good and resembled all other Swiss mountain restaurants, albeit with higher prices. I am sure the food is good here as the restaurant seems to be the main attraction here.Next time round, we will dine here. I wonder if it can beat my beloved Alpstein in Wildhaus, my favorite restaurant in this town."

"A great restaurant with a perfect view. The pizza there is very very very tasty. They top it with a yummy high quality cheese. We enjoyed our time there on a family weekend and we would like to go there again sometime. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly. The food is very tasty. The view is more than beautiful"

"Pure Appenzell. Very friendly. Great kitchen. Great parking space. Great restaurant. A big compliment to the cook. Here the boss herself cooks with love and understanding. Great meat, super tender and juicy. Look at the photos and get an idea."

"Such a beautiful lake, great food and rooms and lodging are comfortable, hike down the mountain is great, took us about 3 hours as we stopped and took alot of photos and chatted to people along the way...Id suggest poles to save your knees from...aching.. Reasonable prices.. I really recommend it as a over night hike to really see it all.. Up and down the mountain"
