What 686jennieh doesn't like about Pewsey Chinese Takeaway:
Yesterday evening, we ordered and picked up three orders of cod and chips, as well as a pie and some additional side dishes. Unfortunately, all three pieces of cod were the same size and shape, resembling more of a plaice than cod. The batter was thick and doughy, reminiscent of a generic frozen supermarket brand. The fish inside was dry, with little flavor and difficult to cut without it falling apart. The pie was u... View all feedback. What User likes about Pewsey Chinese Takeaway:
“Fish and Chips”: excellent chips as they should be. we rarely get fish, but the broken sausages and cakes are great. hardened chips also a favorit. “Chinese”: also very good, garlic and ingwer, baked toast, fried rice had never commanded a bad one. “Kash only”: serious? big downer, how not much money in these days carry. so much lost business. would be 5* contactless. I'm not a fan of chinese food anyway, so I just had some chips, they were pretty good, a splash of ketchup and what's not to like

read moreA recent review of a local restaurant highlighted a disappointing experience with the fish and chips and other dishes. The fish was described as lacking flavor and being overly battered, resembling a frozen supermarket brand. The pie was unappetizing and the side dishes were bland and salty. Despite the average quality of the food, the Chinese options were deemed edible and occasionally very good. Disappointed customers mentioned inconvenient cash-only payments but found set meals to be good value. Some praised the restaurant for offering a wide range of food options, with standout dishes like crispy duck and Thai green curry. Overall, while the fish and chips may not have been a hit, the Chinese takeout was more successful and left new customers wanting to return.
