This is a very pleasant newly refurbished pub on the main road to Calne..it has not established a cosy atmosphere yet ..neat and clean pleasant staff .dogs welcome I did not eat there .there s a chalk horse into the hill side and a monument a short distance away ..pleasant to stop while traveling this area.. What User doesn't like about The Black Horse:
We took my father out for dinner to celebrate his birthday, and wish we hadn't bothered. The food was burnt and disgusting, they ran out of red wine (in a pub?! and then when we complained the manager was rude to us and threatened to call the police. Terrible attitude and terrible food. Save your money and go elsewhere. View all feedback.
Please take no notice of the website for this pub. We went there after looking at the evening menu and liking what we read.
