I visited a lovely traditional pub with delicious home-cooked meals and generous portions. I accidentally left my wallet behind and the owner kindly found it in his car and tracked me down to return it. I will definitely be back tomorrow; the experience couldn't get any better than this. What Katie Graham doesn't like about Samuel's Rest:
Went to the Sam’s Rest for road Sunday lunch. Have been several times and have had great food. The ham was slimy and not edible. Potato’s and parsnips rock solid. Suede not mashed. Carrots like rubber. Spoke to the boy behind the bar who said there was nothing he could do. Wanted to speak to manager. She came out her attitude was appalling. Brilliant. The food was delicious. The drinks we good. The service excellent. Sat in garden as it was such a lovely evening.
1st time their. Loved it. We had a jacket potato, (very nice). A friendly place to enjoy and a large field opposite to walk the dog. Will go again.
Great service and great food. Value for money. Would go back again.
Hospitable owners and loads of food...Nice wine and a cosy fire. What's not to love!
