What User doesn't like about Caribbean Island Spice:
I was very disappointed. I paid $25 for a seasonal oxtail menu! No Scotch bonus, no thyme, no Pimento seeds; and whoever does not put butter beans in their ox tail should be ashamed! I swear the engraving was Poutine Gravy. The rice n peas tasted from a package (again no scalion, no scotch Bonnet; seasonal) oxtail was hard and chew! The chefs are on holiday! Caribbean Island Spice from Windsor is a good place for a bar to have a beer after work and be able to sit with friends or alone, Furthermore, the drinks list in this restaurant is impressive and offers a good and comprehensive diversity of beers from the area and from worldwide, which are definitely worth a try. Furthermore, you will find original Italian dishes with tasty classics like pizza and pasta, Here, the meat is freshly grilled on an open flame.

Went to this restaurant worst food today. Asked for jerk pork when I got to my hotel open the container it was pork fat with lots of gravy. Ackee with salt fish...

"Came into this place early evening on a Saturday and things were fairly quiet. I ordered a chicken platter with fries, and my girlfriend ordered a falafel wrap. She also ended up asking about their sauces, all of which are homemade, and available for order! They had some pretty interesting sauce flavors, from the standard sweet spicy (MUST try , to some more fruity flavors like spicy mango, spicy raspberry, to some VERY interesting flavors like an avocado sauce. The owners were AMAZING they let us sample each sauce while telling us about exactly what went into each sauce (the avocado doesn’t have any sugar! . They gave us a complimentary little plastic container of the avocado sauce by far our favorite. The avocado sauce wasn’t watered down AT ALL, very thick and full of avocado flavor. Don’t expect anything like guacamole, it’s still definitely a sauce. Back to the main food falafel was freshly prepared and fried (we had to wait a bit, which of course is expected , and the chicken shawarma was amazing. Generous portions of garlic sauce and hummus. The side salad was nicely dressed as well, wasn’t an afterthought or anything. The avocado sauce definitely gives me California vibes and I enjoyed it with the fries (although some may give me side eye for saying that . The owners are a very friendly couple, and the restaurant gave off friendly, neighborhood vibes. They recognize regulars by the voice when they order, joke around with their customers, and even talked about and offered us samples for their rice, which they suggested for me the next time I come by, which can’t be soon enough."
