The building has a lot of character and the staff were friendly and obliging but we found the food tired and disappointing, especially after the promising on-line reviews we had read. The “welcoming committee” of regulars in the bar were a bit intimidating. View all feedback.
A warm and pleasant shelter from the wet and windy night. The steak and ale pie was one of the best we have ever eaten.
Food was rather unimaginative and unexciting. Fish and chips were more batter and chips and burger was nothing pretty uninspiring. However, service was tip top and they made everyone feel welcome. Beer selection changes regularly and is excellent
