We started our tour of the Lady Lever Art gallery with lunch in their basement cafe. Jacket potatoes with more interesting fillings than are usually offered (lovely Chipotle chicken in my case) and a hot drink hit the spot beautifully. I had the fish and chips at this restaurant. It was decent. The menu labeled the fish as 'white fish', although it did not seem to be Cod or Haddock. The batter, which I assume was homemade, was light and crispy. The selection of beers and wines was limited and pricey. The service was efficient and friendly, and the basement setting was pleasant.
