"Okay, that was rough. Not sure what you guys think authentic means, but it 's not what you think it means. Nice enough, atmosphere pretty decent, presentation saves this place. The prices are also astronomical considering the fact that everything comes out of a can and the burrito was twenty percent steak. Canned marinara, sweet tomato rice and the cherry on top... THREE DOLLARS for A THIMBLE of hot sauce. Ridiculous. Two stars thanks to presentation."

"My Best Girl and I found ourselves once again at The Yum Yum Shop in Wolfeboro, NH this past weekend, even though it was a bit rainy and overcast there was as always a bright shining and oh so inviting spot in the middle of downtown forever drawing me in like a chubby moth to a flame. The Yum Yum Shop with its colorful Blue and White exterior and matching Adirondack Chairs is a very welcoming place. Upon entering you are greeted by a brightly lit and visually stimulating array of bake treats to temp even the most disciplined of guests. Their staff always greets you with a smile and their famous Gingerbread Men have been a Wolfeboro staple for decades. You can decide the best approach for enjoying your little Ginger Buddy, either taking him apart in a generally humane way as you pop his parts into your mouth or perhaps just start a gentle nibble around the edges in hopes of making the experience last just a few seconds longer as a reward for your incredible discipline, good luck with that. Moving on from the assortment of Gingerbread Men both naked and frosted your will find a wonderful assortment of donuts, pies (blueberry our favorite), freshly baked breads (honey corn and country white, our favorite) and of course when you can find them a Cronut, just the thought weakens my old knees. A combination of Croissant and Donut with layer upon layer of sugary goodness. If you are lucky enough to get one make sure you find yourself a quiet isolated spot to enjoy it so don’t share it with the kids . The Yum Yum Shop is a MUST STOP when you find yourself in this quaint little NH Hamlet so make sure you swing by for some tasty treats and tell’em Willy McTavish sent ya. Until Next Time.."

"Quite a gem! Food was great, and service was excellent. Unassuming on the outside but the decor inside is very charming. Went with our toddlers for an early dinner, which they enjoyed. Community playground right behind the restaurant was a surprise bonus. Perfect spot for a family outing. Kid-friendliness: Picture books at the booth we sat at, great kids menu, and playground right behind the restaurant. Service: Dine in"

"My wife and I stopped by to get lunch and the Prime Rib burger with jalapeños was excellent and my wife sandwich was excellent tha haddock sandwich looks delicious Jim was our waiter was awesome great place definitely coming back highly recommend this place. "This place is hit or miss...great atmosphere (especially in the summer) and the service is generally good. The food is kind of a mixed bag--some things are good, some things are meh. We found the bar manager (Megan) to be a bit rude disinterested."

"We were recently on vacation staying in the neighboring town of Freedom, and the house had a brochure for Sap House Meadery. I was intrigued, since I’ve never had mead, and I love most things alcoholic. We signed up for one of the Saturday tours, but unfortunately the person running the tour was unable to make it that day. The host/server/jack of all trades behind the counter was very apologetic and gave us a crash course on mead making, and gave us a few samples. Wow, such unique and interesting flavor combinations! We sat at one of the little tables, and I had two flights while my husband had some local beer. I could have bought one of everything I tried, but I managed to limit it to five bottles . We shared the Ploughman’s Lunch and an order of pickled carrots which were really interesting and flavorful. And dessert—a Honeycomb Ice Cream Sundae topped with fresh berries—was unbelievable! Definitely try some of the more funky combinations of mead—I bought the Thai Basil, Lemongrass and Kefir Lime one. Oh, and the Fig, Vanilla and Cardamom (a Swedish spice) was another one I purchased. Sooo delicious! If you’re in the Ossipee area, stop by this little gem. FYI, they’re only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays."

"Waited for this restaurant to open and we waited a month before we made our reservations, just so they could work the kinks out. That didn’t happen! The rice was in a ball and had no taste and was gel-like. Two of our orders asked for potatoes and got rice. I asked for their veggie of the day and didn’t get that either. Salads came out with meals and the salad plates are plastic and very small. They said they didn’t have enough cooks. Not sure I’ll give them a second chance!"
