We've never had a bad experience here. We lunched with our puppy today so we got to enjoy the outdoor seating. The garden atmosphere was very pleasant. Service was attentive and on top of things. Food was delicious...sirloin tips were marinated well and cooked to the proper doneness. Mashed potatoes were not the cardboard box variety. Baked stuffed haddock was superb. A nice bottle of wine helped to wash down a light... View all feedback.
The munsweek restaurant is a wonderful little country restaurant The quintessential main down east country vibe. The highlight on the menu is of course amazing fish dishes especially anything having to do with haddock! The fish and chips are great the haddock tacos are great the New England clam chowder is fantastic. There's a really friendly staff, a full service bar as well. I would stay away from the old fashioned just simply because I don't think that's quite their thing. Wine seems to be in abundance and a big favorite. Every time we're rolling through, we take the time to stop and eat. You should absolutely find your way here the next time you're up this part of the coastline!
It had really good food ? it has an outside so you can eat outside
Being a Virginian just experiencing maine for the first time, I've experienced the good, the bad and the ugly with restaurants, but not at this establishment. everything was amazing and creative, I've never had apple slices on pizza, but it wasn't disappointing. The service and the esthetic of the whole place was top notch as well, do try this place if on route!
While visiting Maine, we visited Montsweag for lunch and dinner. They offer inside and outside seating. Service and food were great! Wheelchair accessibility: One floor, no stairs and can easily seat at the table
Food was great. Service was prompt and friendly. Easy to have a conversation with family and friends, unlike many other restaurants.
