"What a great experience! From the moment you enter the gates you are transported into a magical wonderland. The gardens are just beautifully designed and manicured. The chapel is so unique and such a beautiful place to visit. We had breakfast at the coffee shop. Welcomed by the ducks, served by the friendly and helpful staff. The food was just beautiful. The views, just beautiful. All in all a great experience."

"Our stay at Opstal Stay was a memorable one. We had the most beautiful view from all the rooms. Hottub on the patio with a spectacular view. Cabin has everything you need and more. "I definitely need to take a couple of steps back, because I used to work at this beautiful restaurant. I have to congratulate the owners on the renovations, definitely worth it. The new restaurant looks and feels different. I still feel the plaas with a dash of exquisite vibes. The staff is definitely well trained, they know what they're doing. We enjoyed our drinks, the above and beyond gin definitely did its thing with the cocktail. The saggy stone beer also didn't shy away, in fact my friend actually feels it's one of the best he's ever had. I do think there might be a different glass to serve the milkshake in for adults, because it looked like a kiddies milkshake. My friends enjoyed the service Desmine provided us with. They are very impressed with the place and service. They truly loved the fact that we were provided with a blanket on request. We were at a nearby estate and what a let down. We left that estate and came here and was served so quickly. The food is amazing. The burgers were so scrumptious. The tomato was cut a bit very thick, but that's personal preference. We will be back and definitely bring more people. All the best with the restaurant and if you guys keep on providing this good service you will definitely be able to expand your brand."

"The outside dining area was lovely with little stone bunnies placed here and there, a bird bath and a pool. Trees and vines almost give it a 'secret garden ' feel. The service was great, the staff were very friendly and the food came out swiftly. The eggs were done well and the bacon was nice and crispy."

"We stopped by on a Wednesday midday for a wine tasting. Welcomed by the German owner, who bought the farm during lockdown, shared the most heart warming stories about the latest wines, their respective origin stories as well as the community initiatives that have happened since. Hands down the best farm we visited in the area and one of very few I would make the effort to explore more in future. Although the restaurant was closed that day, we had a lovely wine tasting featuring a wide variety of wines and a delicious Dalewood Fromage cheese board, hosted by the owner as well."

"It was a busy late morning Road trip in the July hols.... but we got amazing terrace seats with spectacular views. We have driven past this gem way too many times. And finally decided to stop there rather than our usual half way spot in Swellendam. So glad we did. Never even knew there was such a beautiful restaurant like that... you would never know driving past. Seated 10 min before breakfast closed... and we were told promptly so that we knew we had to decide quickly. So that was great, rather than missing out on their Breakfast menu. Food and service was just as divine as the venue/views. Pricey, but we'll worth it."
