Was meeting a relative and after shopping called in for a quick bite to eat before meeting up. We ordered cappuccinos and tea and to eat “Café by Sainsbury’s fruited teacake” After being toasted with butter this teacake was the best I have ever eaten. It was simply sensational and bought 4 more to take out and give to relatives who all though the same! .Cappuccinos and tea very good too and service very friendly and... View all feedback.
What RickChester doesn't like about Sainsburys:
Had the fish and chips and it was terrible. Think they have changed the fish as it used to be ok. The batter was stodgy and the fish tasted bad and certainly not fresh. Won’t be using this cafe again. View all feedback.
The cafe is nice and light with big windows, and seating is well spaced. Nice for a cuppa after a shop.
Went for a lunchtime snack but very disappointed as service was slow and the food was dry. Don't even bother to shop now as they cling on to the £1 to release a trolley...other local supermarkets have dropped that idea and they don't seem to have any problem.
Called here for breakfast ordered two big breakfast sandwiches, service was quick and polite.Food was very good quality but it was only lukewarm would have been perfect if it had of been hotter.Cafe did look decidedly shabby and very much in need of a makeover.
Pleasant staff, very tasty sandwich, ok coffee. Better than most supermarket cafe 's in the area. Ingredients in my ham salad sandwich were first rate, although expensive, it was freshly made on the premises and very nice. Son had a 'mixed ' slush which, he says could have done with more syrup juice, whatever it is, as he quickly reduced it to a cup of crushed ice. Will call in again, in the future
Being from Australia, I was blown away when visiting Sainsburys as we don't have anything like it there. They have great deals and everything we bought from there was great quality!
