"We were invited out for an evening meal with some good friends. We were nothing but seriously impressed with everything. Superbly prepared and presented dishes in great surroundings. We were given a very warm welcome and looked after royally. A great food and drinks menu that is high quality good value."

"Called in on Saturday evening and despite not booking didn't have to wait long for a table. Staff were polite and friendly. My fish jalfrezi was superb. A lovely balance of spice with a touch of sweetness. Garlic naan was also lovely with a slightly crunchy bake no hint of doughiness. Cobra was overpriced at £5 and my dish was on the pricey side at £15. My friends ate less expensive dishes and were equally impressed."

"Nice little place if your looking for something light and a bit different. Lived in Chester previously for years and been back more times than I can remember but only spotted this place last weekend when I saw a chalk board saying cafe this way had already tried two other places previously only to be turned away due to no available seating. I 'm glad I was! This place is great and the people serving you genuinely care about their business and it shows in both the level of service and the quality of food. My new favourite place to eat!"

"Interesting building on the old canal basin. converted into a large pub. the staff is great, friendly and knowledgeable. if they don't know, they find out. eating is good and not inexpensive. pastas come in two sizes if they could have a starter better with the little one. (who is like a normal teller at some others) the selection of the beer is also good. huge series of ghosts on the bar back. all are reasonable."

"Was staying locally in the area and had this restaurant recommended to us. The grounds are lovely, it’s nestled off a very peaceful country road near to The Flash. Inside, each room has a very different feel. We were sat in the orangery conservatory by the window looking out to the gardens. The service we received was very friendly and the food we had (pork and chorizo burger) was the best we’ve experienced. The only downside is we didn’t have room for pudding. Definitely worth a visit."
