"We arrived here when it was already closed due to no customer. The owner, who is also the chef, welcome us. He prepared the food himself. It was an amazing combination of art and care. Perhaps because of such places people still go out for lunch or dinner. We will visit again for sure."

"For many years there have been the Pizzeria Don Camillo Peppone at Wuppertaler Laurentius Platz. The location is excellent, especially because of the outdoor gastronomy directly in front of the Basilica of St. Laurentius. Great Italian cuisine has never been offered here, but not promised. However, it was so good to hand, a neat pizzeria. Around 50 meters there are 3 other Italians (Primavera, Amalfi, La Terrazza, see the reviews here . In the further radius of 800 meters, 5 more Gastronomia Italia are added. At Don Camillo Peppone, the owner changed, a change that is obviously good for the company. We were four. Hasimausi, a student, a student and me. We had left them the choice of gastronomy. What is still the racer with students? a. PB Pizza Bude and b. BB Burger Bude. The gastronomic Asians (Thai becoming increasingly popular in the circle of students or the Pan Asia Tapas Gastro Neuling Mu Kii. Well, we saw Don Camillo Peppone a bit critical, but we were assured that the new operator has changed a lot. I would have liked to have sat outside in the square, but the lady was in the evening (21 degrees a little too cool. So in to Don Camillo Peppone. The ambience has essentially not changed. Simple, but beautiful. On the walls plentiful black white photos from the famous Don Camillo movies from the 50s/60s/70s. Not just Pizza Pasta, but also Filetto, Lachs, Dorade, Wolfsbarsch, Hummerkrabben etc. Don Camillo Peppone had developed from the Pizza Pasta Gastronomia to the Italian restaurant (Gamma Completa). However, without claiming to a demanding gastronomy. No overcrowded songs on the map and no high-form waiters who allegedly bought the cod early in the morning on the international fish market. Our order: Antipasti, Pizza Gamberetti, Pizza Frutti de Mare, Hummerkrabben, Insalata Capricciosa. In addition, fresh early cereal, a flower vase with wheat beer and Cola Zero for the lady and the Lord of the University. How to drink sweet cola for pizza or seafood etc. (Bäh! , I will never understand. In my student period (some decades ago, we drank Chianti from the basal bottle, as much as pure and awakened only the following day in the early afternoon. The fear of a corona infection makes either hungry or it was the 2 month abandonment of gastronomy. The Antipasti was served, including wonderful pizza rolls class. All very nicely arranged, Salame, Prosciotto, Formaggio, Verdure, all of good quality, all quite (too much. Experienced Italian life. The main dishes: The hump ravens (Gamberoni as ordered only with some pasta. The Pasta al dente, the 5 crabs unfortunately not peeled. Although it doesn't have to be, it was not on the map, but it is more convenient for me and relieves Hasimausi, which then always has to do so. However, the Gamberoni had a quality and a taste that I would not have expected. Fräulein Student noticed that she has never been served a pizza with such a lot of Gamberetti. Didn't try them (the gamberetti, not the student, but the optics already convinced. Mr. Student was also enthusiastic about the Pizza Frutti de Mare. Dough, covering, everything harmonious. She fought with the insalata she praised as fresh, tasteful and well prepared. In other words, great satisfaction at the whole table. What's left? None sought after Dolci. The main dishes and especially the antipasti were extensive. Grappa and espresso had to be. And our students? We paid and swallowed up again with our snucks Pullis. This is new German, for Corona Mund Nasen Masken. Conclusion: For the whole food 4.5 stars. Even 5 stars would be attached to the Antipasti. The service always present, always an eye on the table. For such a restaurant simply Perfetto. The ambience? For us this simple ambience without a buckling taste and without any approach from Ikea Designer Chairs is okay. For us 3.5 stars. If others only forgive 2 stars, you can also understand. The PLV is very good, just like the final overall impression. Note: Don Camillo Peppone has no convincing internet presence. Only the delivery service is displayed on the homepage and this is still very sweet. But nothing to the restaurant, nothing to the restaurant card, nothing to the location, nothing to the beautiful outdoor gastronomy, no pictures. On the homepage you can only see a very simple pizza delivery service. On the Internet you have to sell, you have to present yourself, you have to get impressions. All this doesn't make Don Camillo Peppone on the Internet. Why?"

"Added, we have just in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim such a large selection of very good Italian pizzerias that wonders why we need tele pizza at all.For me, tele pizza is an alternative if I want to eat a unitalic pizza. where is italian already pizza with putenbrust and sauce bernaise? or with bacon and barbecue sauce?The service is excellent. all orders were always absolutely correct, on time and the price agreed with that in the brochure.The pizzas are fresh and tasty. You can't compare them with those of the Italian, they're just different. I don't find the salads so good at tele pizza. I don't like the dressings and also the cheese is not so great.The prices I find quite high."
