"Having ordered food in store previously, I was very disappointed in the delivery service. I ordered food for the family at 5.45pm. I was told it would take 40 minutes. I phoned at 7pm and was told it would be 2 minutes. It arrived at 7.30pm. An extra drink I ordered was missing so as well as a very late delivery, I was over charged."

"Booked late on New Year's Eve not expected to get a table, but surprised how easy opentable booking was. the personal was very welcoming when we showed up and gave a good service that was eating excellent and we were not rushed or torn out of the door. in any case, this restaurant would recommend to anyone who likes a good Indian meal."

"Had lunch today (Jubilee Saturday). Given the day the restaurant was very quiet. I’ve had the pleasure of dining here many times and as you’d expect the food is wonderful (more of that in a moment) but set in a very relaxed pub environment. There isn’t a dress code and the gents I saw dining were anything from a t-shirt and jeans through to a jacket/blazer and trousers. Personally a relaxed shirt and chinos feels appropriate. I had the devils on horseback (a prune wrapped in bacon and slow cooked) which was wonderful, along with the scotch egg (very small but it is a “taster” plate) and the “special edition (for jubilee weekend) of coronation chicken served on fruit bread. All three strangely complemented each other. My wife had the mushroom macaroni which she said tasted amazing and was a generous serving (see picture) and I had the fillet Hereford beef. (Not inexpensive at £68) even considering the chef owner….however the bone marrow jus/sauce was a perfect companion coupled with the crispy/glass textured triple cut chips. We finished with the trifle (imaged) which was delightful. There is a childrens menu which my son had the roast chicken which was suited him (he’s a fussy eater). With a couple of cocktails and three soft drinks the bill was a respectable £260."

"A lovely meal out, first since lockdown. Food was fresh and very nicely presented. Soda drinks were fruity and refreshing in pretty glasses. Garden space was managed well, plenty of space. All staff working very hard and all clean protection in place. Thank you for a nice experience."
