"Lee was excellent, he looked after my wife's allergy requirements and made sure we all had everything we needed. "Always 5 stars. I can't understand why anyone would leave them less. These guys work extremely hard to give you the best food and service after surviving two terrible years of Covid. Just had another fantastic curry. We come from Garstang, passing other restaurants, for this because it's that good"

"We met up with friends plus beagle dog at the Bayhorse , Ellel near Lancaster for a second time this year , while away on our hols in Cumbria . The food was even better than our previous trip in April which...was pretty good then too Had amazing starters , locally produced cured salmon pickled beets pork terrine that we couldn’t get enough of too ! This was followed by super tasty confit of duck legs , seasonal spiced red cabbage , beautiful compliment of jus with blackberries ended on a great homemade orange almond cake . We have eaten in many great gastric pubs restaurants all over the UK are fussy the quality of the food and the excellent , attentive service welcoming feel given by the staff certainly made it worth the trip . Thanks for giving us such a nice time we heartily recommend this place , for a great relaxing lunch with really good tasty food nice atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble either . We will be back if we had this quality inn on our doorstep , we would be back far more often . What a real gem of a place !"

"We stayed overnight in our camper in their car park with the caveat that we have a meal in the pub. Very glad we did as this is possibly the most hospitable pub and the most friendly staff I have come across. This coupled with brilliant food and drink made it a perfect overnight stay. We only live 35 minutes away but I think we will be making this a regular stop over just to get away for a night or two. "As a coach driver with a passion for curry I have eaten from hundreds of Indian take aways from all over the country and this is in the top five, had a very tasty meat phall which tasted a lot better than the usual adding a spoon of chilli powder and i could even have eaten the wifes Korma which for me is unheard of as i normally find it vile, well worth a visit and you can see them cook your food while you wait"

"We have just had a really delicious dinner at Mamma Mia, Brighton Road, Purley. I had the Halibut, stuffed with prawns and risotto and my husband had calf liver and bacon. Both very well worth considering.We shall be dining there again, good value and a nice atmosphere."
