What Jill A doesn't like about Heidi's Homemade Food Italian Specialties:
The food is not fresh!..BIG cans of crab should be your first hint and here we are in an area that has crab fishermen out every night.. Also no fresh pasta...all pasta is made in Portland, I was told.. It would be $45, if we made it I was told really? Pasta, flour, and egg. This is a very sweet establishment across from the post office. The food is very good. I had the cioppino and it was very tasty with plenty of seafood. I loved the ambiance--bright, cheerful colors and very friendly staff.
Outstanding meals for years! Thanks Heidi and Will. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing experience... A true gem of a restaurant. The mushroom ravioli was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Highlight of my trip!
We are down for the Thanksgiving holiday and wanted dinner out after days of cooking. Had been by this place a number of times but had never stopped in until last night. Great wine selection at reasonable bottle prices, simple green salad with really fresh ingredients and simply delicious Italian dressing. The lasagna was outstanding, as was the bolognese; topped it off with house made hazelnut cheesecake. Family atmosphere, high quality food, excellent service all around win.
