"Whenever I asked someone for a restaurant recommendation in Yangon, the answer was always ‘Shan Yoe Yar’. It’s definitely an expat and foreign hotspot but once you try the food, you can understand why. Despite being more expensive for local prices, it’s still inexpensive compared to what we pay in Sydney. Delicious food and friendly service"

"This was my first-time visit to the restaurant. I gave five stars to the decoration and atmosphere. Aged beef steak, fried potatoes, and chicken salad were good. We also ordered a hazelnut latte and we said "no sugar ', but it turned out that the drink was too sugary, maybe because the hazelnut paste comes in syrup form. I gave it four stars because of the sugary drink, otherwise, I will give five stars for the food. Their main dishes were excellent. I also gave four stars for their service, because one of the staff members didn 't listen well and made her own assumptions all the time. Anyway, I want to go there again and want to try other menus as well."

"Ambience with vintage look. Chicken Curry is good and portion is okay to share for two. Eggplant curry with masala smell, it should be cooked a bit more to make it disappeared. Assorted vegetable plate didn’t meet the expectation and not attractive at all, it should include more variety of veggies than that. Tea is okay. Price is a bit overrated. "50th street bar is one of the oldest bar in Yangon. That means they can maintain their hospitality, food quality and their service also. You can feel European Style in advance. "Nice waiter, clean and cozy, they asked us whether we want to or not in salat ei. taste was authentic and delicious. do not go to 999 shan noodles for shady dishes! it is worth coming here because the prices are comparable, but 999 shan is really not worth the money (instante, sells us shadowing, but quite sure they were normal reis noodles.)"

"I came to this restaurant expecting quality food, service and presentation....needless to say, I was disappointed on all three aspects...the food was bland and simply unimpressive, the service was uninviting and the restaurant is simple without any real ambiance...the only exception was the chicken tikka which had a decent flavour ..the curry which I asked to be extra spicy was tasteless, the naan bread crumbled in my hands and it was downhill from there ..no kulfi...but on the menu... Pathetic experience for 50000 kyat for one person and I was feeling completely ripped off as I left ..the value for price was astoundingly low .never again here for me!"

"After sampling half of the cocktails, I almost had to be carried out of here. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so damn cool. If you’re looking to find expats and foreigners, this is the place to come. I found the upstairs area a lot more elegant and cosy. Overall, great experience"

"A normal restaurant, shrimp is small. Mostly dead seafood. Price is cheap, 25 usd for 5 ppls for 6 dishs, cheap. Big place to park your car. Guard is nice. A so so restaurant."

"We ordered the Moik, Smoked beef salad, Clear Beef Stew, and the fried Pork Intestines. The Moik was our favourite by far. Definitely recommended. The clear beef stew was decent but forgettable as was the deep fried intestine. We ordered the smoked beef because the menu said that it was best paired with the moik, but the moik was the first dish they brought out, the beef salad was the last and it took a long while. As a result, we ended up eating most of the beef salad by itself, which was dry, and not pleasurable after the first couple of bites. Price wise, it was more expensive than most places we visited in Yangon, and we had better meals else where for less."
