What northernsunkisses doesn't like about Sushi North:
This was my go-to for sushi in YK for a long time. As of late (the last year or so), quality has suffered, as has service. All tempura items are now done in advance so they are cold and soggy when served. The crab in the California rolls is half the portion it used to be.Rolls are loose and falling apart.Tipping makes no difference. The price is less than competition but you can’t even begin to compare quality.I now pr... read moreThe sushi restaurant in Yellowknife has been a long-time favorite for many residents, but recent reviews indicate a decline in quality and service. Customers have noted issues with portion sizes, pre-made tempura items, and loose rolls falling apart. While the prices are affordable, some feel that the quality no longer compares to the competition. However, the restaurant still has its strengths, with fast and friendly service, decent prices, and a variety of fresh sushi options. Overall, the restaurant offers a good place to enjoy traditional sushi at a reasonable price, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike.
