Our family had an afternoon tea at The Emporium Cafe, Yeovil today for Mums birthday. It’s was amazing and delicious with lots of sandwiches, cakes, savouries scones, very lovely happy attentive staff. very disappointed today. table sticky menu reduced so not really what i wanted however was good quality. dog allowed to sit at next table and fed from the table. no considerstion for allergies not at all happy about this. tables not spaced apart enough. View all feedback.

"There were just a handful of diners for our lunch time meal at the Clockspire which has a large open dining room. The cavernous space was cold and lacked atmosphere, exacerbated by so few fellow travellers. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen offers fine dining and yet most of our dishes were over seasoned with salt very prominent. Portions were tiny and relatively expensive, as were wines. Overall the restaurant fails to offer value for money, and we are unlikely to return in the near future. "We received a friendly and polite welcome. It was so hot I was very glad that I had chosen to have dinner at Castello. They have a large area outside with well spaced tables with sun shade umbrellas. Sitting there we thought we really were in Italy. The menu offered a very good choice of Italian/Mediterranean dishes. The fish and salads we had were really memorable!!"
