I just want to say we had a nice family dinner here today. our bratbeef was delicious, and our son ate all his meal, which is very rare. the service of the staff was excellent. pudding beautiful but was just too crowded to eat it. "There were just a handful of diners for our lunch time meal at the Clockspire which has a large open dining room. The cavernous space was cold and lacked atmosphere, exacerbated by so few fellow travellers. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen offers fine dining and yet most of our dishes were over seasoned with salt very prominent. Portions were tiny and relatively expensive, as were wines. Overall the restaurant fails to offer value for money, and we are unlikely to return in the near future. "We received a friendly and polite welcome. It was so hot I was very glad that I had chosen to have dinner at Castello. They have a large area outside with well spaced tables with sun shade umbrellas. Sitting there we thought we really were in Italy. The menu offered a very good choice of Italian/Mediterranean dishes. The fish and salads we had were really memorable!!"
