"The meal we had was first rate. The fish was so fresh and cooked incredibly well. It has to rate amonst one of the best fish and chip restaurants around. It is family run and they clearly take a pride in serving up the very best. The batter is a family recipe, handed down through the generations. The price was very competative even although the quality was the tops. We are running out of words to describe how good this meal was. We will definitely go back."

"The pizza here was so delicious, I wasn't sure what I wanted to get at first and I'm not sure what I did order but it was so good! I also really enjoyed the music they had playing, it was such a good vibe! I went as it was reccomended to me but I'd definitely advise other people go if you're looking for a quick bite to eat in the city centre!"

"What a great way to end our first day in york. as we had already eaten a full meal during the day, we were just looking for some light to eat and a refreshing glass or two rose’ it is not the cheapest, but definitely worth the visit and we will be back soon. an excellent table outside on the deck with views of the river, served by amazing friendly staff, thank you."

"This restaurant has closed last month, I found out only by opening for my booking. The restaurant has not informed me before and I still received memories from Open Table, they even have sandwich boards that advertise the restaurant at the end of the street! A waste of time and taxi."

"I wore up without reservation and they kindly equipped me with a timeline that was great. I started with the sweet choir and chicken soup that was good, but nothing exciting. I had a last minute change of heart after I saw the char sui on the menu and added the fried mushroom rice. the tear should have cloged in him and for a five it should have, not. it was also a little oily. my head came with steamed brokkoli, which was unfortunately cold. the char sui had too much five seasoned for me and it overwhelmed every other taste. it wasn't like char sui. I finished all my food so it's decent, maybe my expectations were high, I would try it again. updated by previous review on 2022-09-15"

"Absolutely superb vegan food, creatively designed by chefs that clearly understand plant based eating. Calamari was outstanding as was fish and chips, burgers and other few dishes. We ate there three times during our two nights stay as it took the guesswork out in other...restaurants and the food was simply delicious. On Thursday we paid for main dishes £10 which definitely saved money as the place we found on a pricy side. Thoroughly recommend for vegans and vegan curious."
