The Bay Horse - York

My man and I happen to be there our hotel restaurant was closed because of a power failure. we are so glad we found the bay horse! absolutely gorgeous chips, burger was fantastic and the sweet chilli beef noodles were so delicious. the couple that led the pub was very friendly and took the time to talk to us what we really appreciated. nothing was too much annoyed for them. next time we visit york we will come back!

Great little pub. two different bars, so they can choose to sit with the younger crowd, or in my old, the quieter side through the fire! good eating and decent choice of the ales, although I am an apfelsinentrunker! wine tasting and various other events keep it interesting. dog friendly, in which did our pooch was after eating and drinking wice, quite as fast as we were. steps into the pub could be difficult for wheelchair users, and the toilets will probably also be a little tight. for better weather there are many seats outside on the front and although from any reason no longer available behind.

We have just come from two weeks to house to be outside york at naburn, have partner and vater at bay horse for something to eat and drink and found that it was served only pizza on Wednesday night. we decided to try the pizza, from this night we called every evening except Monday and Tuesday, because it was closed for dinner. martin and donna made us so welcome and tim the chef was brilliant to produce fantastic meals for us, and if we asked for something else, nothing was two great difficulties, we will definitely be back to the bay horse for eating, and if you want to stay a brilliant place to stay, they will stay here at bay horse. graham, tracey and trevor.

Traditional pub on the south side of york directly on the ringstraße. good beer garden both front and back. eating is always good, limited menu, but they have a good cook, and an outdoor pizza tent in the summer. no sky tw anymore, that's a shame. beer prices are a bit top end for my lust, but we love to come down and sit in front of the beer garden on a sunny day and watch the world over.

I stayed at the bay horse in room 1. Be aware that the en suite bathroom has no heating and is part of a lean too. Consequently when it's cold as it was last night, the bathroom is quite literally freezing. The room had a heater and was actually fine, but it was too cold to contemplate a shower and there was no shampoo or soap provided so it was out of the question anyway.
