This was the first pub we visited on Friday on our weekend away in York and was really disappointed as a lot of the draught beers were unavailable. Place was quiet as it was only midday so they perhaps were waiting for a delivery. The barmaid was quite miserable and the atmosphere was dank even though the place oozes history so we drank up and headed for some life. read more.
