"The meal we had was first rate. The fish was so fresh and cooked incredibly well. It has to rate amonst one of the best fish and chip restaurants around. It is family run and they clearly take a pride in serving up the very best. The batter is a family recipe, handed down through the generations. The price was very competative even although the quality was the tops. We are running out of words to describe how good this meal was. We will definitely go back."

"What a great way to end our first day in york. as we had already eaten a full meal during the day, we were just looking for some light to eat and a refreshing glass or two rose’ it is not the cheapest, but definitely worth the visit and we will be back soon. an excellent table outside on the deck with views of the river, served by amazing friendly staff, thank you."

"Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Ordered shakshuka, zaatar scone with chutney and salmon on toast and everything was delicious! The scone had a kick to it which made it even better! Food quality is exceptional! Prices are fair especially for the portion you get! Everything was fresh especially the shakshuka was piping hot. I will definitely visit again if I’m in York."
