I tried Uncle Joe's breakfast a few time in the past and finally my first time trying the dinner menu. My wife ordered a steak - very juicy/tender and I ordered a beef liver and onion - it was cooked so good that my son who does not like liver before ate half of it.The only setback for the evening was the people at the other table were bit too loud. My husband read about Uncle Joe's a year ago....our first visit in 2015 was good. However, our last meal there late Oct. was terrible. French onion soup was cold, Cajun chicken on the Greek salad was pre-cooked, not a whole piece of chicken but dried up pieces and tasteless. "Mamajoun is a place I've wanted to try since they first opened. I finally got around to it!The place is part restaurant, offering Armenian pizzas and more, and part grocery store. Offerings include preserved meats and preserved fruits (jams) of all types.Our meal started with an order of Mante (beef dumplings). It was served in a tomato sauce with yogurt and spices. It was a great way to start our meal. Other choices included the Papajoun and the Armenian Pizza, both suggested by Mirhan and both delicious.The Papajoun was a flatbread pizza with ground beef, spices, and a red pepper paste. We added some hot peppers. It was folded and toasted, giving it a nice texture. Yummy!The Armenian Pizza was topped with soujouk (an Armenian sausage), beef, onions, tomato sauce, and cheese.
