"This is the only watering hole on a long blue ski run down to Viehhoffen. Visited on a weekday lunchtime and the place was busy but we were promptly shown to a table. Everyone there was having a great time singing along to what I can only describe as the Austrian alternative to the birdy song, but this gave a good atmosphere and wasn't intrusive. The place seems very authentic and sheep's wool was showing in the wooden walls, presumably for insulation. We ordered a modest lunch of Gulaschsuppe, which arrived very quickly. It was honestly the best I have ever tasted and was full of very tender beef, not too salty and very satisfying. Also very good value. When we paid, the waitress kindly told us the time of the next ski bus from the bottom of the run, and that we would be just in time to make it approx 15 minutes skiing time away. That was helpful as we do have a tendency to dawdle after lunch but got our skis on as quickly as we could. We were told later that this place is favoured by locals but we were made to feel very at home and would highly recommend a stop here if you are passing,"

"...haben heute 2 Freunde aus Kaprun besucht. Dann sind wir zu Fünft in die Baumbar gegangen. Mei Bua a Großes Wiener Schnitzl vom Schwein (obwohl es vom Hendl war-->darf er aber nicht wissen), 2 Hauspizzen, 1 Kasnockn und ich a Roberto Di Mafia Pizza. Diese war als sehr scharf angepriesen. Werden auch immer alle Diavolo...Nur: Diese Pizza wird statt mit Tomatensauce mit einer Chilisauce eingeschmiert. Nicht irgendeiner. Nö-mit Wumms! Steht auch auf der Karte. Also Essen war Top! Nur extrem Teuer!! Extrem. Zu Dritt 70€ ist schon nicht schlecht! Ok. Eis war auch dabei. Und ich frage mich, woher die das haben. Schmeckt sehr hausgemacht. Im positiven Sinne! Schokoeis das wirklich mal nach Schokolade schmeckt....Service war top und freundlich. Und die weibliche Bedienung auch zum Herzeigen (und sie weiß es auch)! Nicht überall so.Das größte Problem, das zu bewältigen ist, ausser der Anfahrt von Salzburg über die A10 mit den ganzen Touristen, ist das die scharfe Pizza nicht nur gegessen werden muss, sondern auch wieder.......Bis dahin, gute Nacht John-Boy!"

"This restaurant is close to the Zell am See train station and it is quite huge inside - as well as its menu. Normally I am carefull about the quality of the food if the restaurant offers big choice of meals, but I was surprised how tasty it was. I had a salad with turkey strips and roasted potatoes and it was delicious. My friend took some pasta which was not bad as well. It has two gardens and you can eat here almost everything from pizzas, pastas, salads, steaks, burgers. Our hotel Landhaus Marlies gave us a recommendation to come here and it was not bad choice. We came finally the next day as well."

"Great location overlooking Zell lake with fantastic views of the mountains. Ate here twice recently and both times service was very good as was the food. Prices seemed cheaper than in town too. Building is very spacious whilst obviously reasonably recent."

"The waiters are rude, the service is terrible, the food comes at different times, we’ve been here 5 times now with our organisation and always have had problems with food and service, we’ve been over charged, the waiters don’t own up to their mistakes and...are very rude, the food always comes at very staggered times, the food is very mediocre, overall quite terrible, only gets a 2 star rate for the scenic views"
