"The restaurant has views of the Matterhorn from the window and a small terrace outside. The decor is typically Swiss. In the evenings there is a set 5 course dinner, and everything was absolutely wonderful, even the bread and butter! We were served an Alipine herb soup which was quite wonderful, followed by fish with lentils and spinach which were exceptional for texture and flavor, followed by entrecôte of beef with sous vide potatoes and grilled vegetables, and an absolutely exceptional crepe with local apricots, crispy caramelized pumpkins seeds and pumpkin seed ice-cream for dessert. The service was friendly and excellent. Cost was 62CHF per person which seemed very reasonable given the location and the truly outstanding meal."

"One of the best meals on our Swiss vacation!A small restaurant which is only open for dinner in a central location just off the main street.We were greeted right away for our reservation and service was prompt and attentive on a fairly busy night. The owner came by several times to make sure we were happy.They offered a small amuse- bouche from the kitchen - a tomato bruschetta.We split a mixed salad that was a good size for both of us to share. I had the pasta trio and my wife had the ravioli and gnocchi pomodoro. Both portions were large enough that we had no room for dessert. With two glasses of wine, our total came to CHF 76 or $80 US. Very reasonable.Menu seems to be mostly southern Italian and there are items that would appeal to children. Highly recommended."

"I have eaten here many times over the years. The quality remains excellent.The Spycher is a little more formal (and more expensive) than other restaurants in Zermatt. It is therefore quite quiet with a more sober atmosphere.Food is unremittingly good; our chateaubriand was excellent.Service is unobtrusively efficient and helpful.A visit to the Spycher is always a culinary highlight of our visits to Zermatt. So I will return!"

"Not the best Italian, but not the worst. Lasagna bolognese lacked depth of flavor, Tiramisu was doused in what tasted like Hershey’s syrup…an Italian sin. Beef ravioli was better as was the Panna Cotta. Service took a really long time but the staff was quite overwhelmed."

"After a long walk downhill, we stopped at this amazing restaurant. We ordered fresh chanterelles (baby mushrooms) from their garden with the Fresh goat cheese Salad and Octopus carpaccio. Both were great.The Mille-feuille was amazing the Apricot trate was very good as well.All servers were super nice!I highly recommend it."
