"Despite the many restaurants in the resort we tried the restaurant of hotel Europe. We had dinner among the hotel guests in a cosy and warm dining room. A five courses menu is served for 68 CHF. The quality of the products such as the...Jerusalem artichoke, the ox tongue or the veal medallions served with parsnip puree and morels as well as the creativity of the Chef Podola made our dinner a delightful experience. As far as wine is concerned, better choose bottles from the region. . The service was efficient and friendly."

"Absolutely an amazing experience we will never forget, we stopped looking for food only, but there was so much more. eating and service was impeccable, the way they served each dish was so extravagant. the food was delicious and great portions. then there was a personal performance while we had dessert. if they visit distrust, this place must be one of the stops! music was amazing."

"Top restaurant with very personal service and a lot of attention. Everything is just right. Reservation essential. The various grilled specialties from are particularly recommended. These are grilled on an open fire and served absolutely fresh. All cheese specialties such as fresh fondue and raclette are also delicious. Very cozy wooden restaurant. The acoustics are very good because of the various niches. We had lamb gigots and racks of lamb from the grill with vegetables and potato casserole. Clean and sanitary facilities."

"We have been coming to Zermatt for many years thus we know that it is a very expensive holiday, especially regarding the restaurants. This is the first time we came to eat at Sonnmatten. The location and the design are both beautiful. Unfortunately the food was disappointing: poor in taste and certainly not justifying the high prices."

"Best rosti we have ever had. Restaurant is a bit difficult to get to but well worth the effort to enjoy a delicious, authentic Swiss meal in an amazingly picturesque setting. Service was great as well. We will return and highly recommend!"
