Nobody spoke while eating, we all wanted to savor the flavor. I ate the homemade noodles with cheese, which was the best I have had in my 15 years in Germany. The men enjoyed fresh venison in a luscious sauce after the day on skiing....The owner kept us laughing and gave us a lesson on beer brewing. Worth a visit! View all feedback.
What Steffi Schilling doesn't like about Dampfbrau das Bayerische Wirtshaus am Stadtplatz:
Yes,it's a stylish. All is the average. You can find it in every german pub. Good soup with big leberknoedel, good mixed salad and tasty beer. But main course was oversalted, the staff a little cheeky and grim surroudings. For lovers old movies View all feedback.
We visited twice the restaurant and enjoyed the local Bavarian food range, together with a great local beer. Visiting the place is well worth, if you are in Zwiesel or near by. You should give it call first, just in case it is fully booked (happened to us at one visit). The restaurant is quite small.
Food was fine (maybe a little bit too salty). Tried the Gulash. With a fine glass of Riesling it all fitted together. Dessert also fine (fresh strawberries). Good German food for a very acceptable price.

If you are on holiday in Germany, you want to taste an live the local atmosphere. That is exactly what happens here. Great local food, good value for money and nice service.
Traditional home cooked food with delicious fresh beer. This restaurant is small and kind of hidden behind a tree. Our hotel recommended we eat here and we were glad we did. I had a New York Strip Steak (Rump Steak) with fried potatoes (brat kartoffel) and a yummy salad. My husband had the Weiner Schnitzel (Schwein) with french fries (Pommes) and a salad.
