A once beloved spot known for its sausage rolls has unfortunately fallen short in recent visits, with dry pastry and lackluster taste. However, the Abbotsford Convent location is a picturesque setting with good coffee and baked goods. While some staff members may have off days, the overall service is typically excellent. The bakery offers delightful treats like lemon tart and custard tart, with outdoor seating perfect for sunny days. Visitors can also take part in bread making classes on Sundays, a must-try experience. The eatery itself offers a variety of creative dishes, from meat pies to salads, in a trendy and lively atmosphere. Despite busy times, the staff remains hospitable, providing quick service to tables. Overall, the Convent Bakery is a relaxing spot with good coffee, fresh rolls, and a welcoming ambiance.
Based on the average evaluation of 4, the The Convent Bakery is definitely worth a visit.

What Randy Zboncak doesn't like about The Convent Bakery:
We met with friends, visiting Melbourne, who had not been to the Abbotsford convent before. Setting great but we chose to eat at the bakery rather than Lentil as Anything. These were the only 2 options on the day. Regretfully the food was ordinary: none...of us finished anything. While it’s nice to sit outside (it was a lovely day) the pidgeons are really off putting.
