Blueberry pancakes: how to make them and what alternatives exist
Today is pancake day, but not just any day. Today is blueberry pancake day or as the American or English would say: "Blueberry pancake". A day that more or less - just like any other feast day of a super sweet food - invites you to feast. Precisely for this reason, below are a few suggestions on how to first stage our representative today well and, above all, super delicious. But there will also be a few alternatives to find for those who do not like blueberries or do not like pancakes - yes, there are also such people (Small joke...).
But first, our blueberry representative. Here you have to consider already when composing the dough whether you prefer the classic American variant of the pancake or rather fall back on the German-Austrian alternative (also called "Palatschinken"). Not only do the two differ visually, but the American representative is also more intense in taste, which may be due to the amount of sugar used in preparation. In addition, the American pancake convinces by its fluffiness, which is promoted by the former stiff beating of the egg whites and currently by the addition of baking powder. The pancake itself is more convincing because of its filling.
Once you have decided on one of them, it's time to prepare and after that - maybe even after the individual representatives have cooled - to decorate. If you think of the topping, the blueberry naturally comes to mind in the context of today's holiday, but even here the processing methods can vary. Either as a whole fruit or as a puree or parfait, the blueberry can adorn the pancake. Add some maple syrup, honey, cream, ice cream or powdered sugar and the "Blueberry Pancake" is ready.

Alternatively, the pancake itself can be garnished with other fruits, such as strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples - in fact, basically any fruit. Again, the whole fruit, mush, parfait or even ice cream variety is possible. Some use a bit of butter as a flavor carrier for the decoration and garnish instead of the above-mentioned, yet rather sweet representatives.
If you want your pancake not quite so fruity, you can of course also work with chocolate, cinnamon, sugar or similar.
Who would like to do without the pancake completely, which can still let off steam with the blueberry. Whether as already named as a whole fruit, as a mush, parfait or ice cream, so the blueberry can still be processed into a super delicious blueberry muffin. Also, very popular in the States - but also in Germany more and more people like to eat the juicy-sweet-fruity mini cake.
For those who like it a little crunchier, the variant of the blueberry cookie is perhaps the right one. Whether now beside blueberries also still chocolate pieces, that may be left to everyone.
A little more unusual are the blueberry creations like the blueberry tiramisu, the cheesecake or the panna cotta with blueberries. Or even the mascarpone dessert with the pulp and the whole berries.
