"We were delayed for two days in Chicago due to Texas Snowmageddon in January 2023. #neverforget. Anyway, we had some basic layers and chose to take in the City while we waited for Texas to melt. Stan's Donuts was on our check off list. Glad we got a photo of it as it is iconic. It was busy on a weekday afternoon in January. Can't imagine how it would be any other time. It was a 15 minute walk from our hotel. The neighborhood was a bit sketch. Reminded me of Queens in NY. But we were staying in a five star hotel so maybe my standards changed that fast. There is a lot of high end shopping near by and a beautiful Target."

"The lack of situational awareness in this establishment is outstanding. We ordered our food at the counter and waited 10 minutes. With two employees a couple orders ahead and online orders… understandable but there should be a third employee during busy shifts. WITH THAT SAID, they forgot part of our order so I drove back and waited for them to make the missing part. When I arrived at the counter they acted like I wasn’t just there and I waited another 5 minutes for the missing items. Once I got back home and finally sat down to eat THEY GOT THE TAQUITOS WRONG. I have zero desire to drive back for a second time so I’m settling for two instead on three. Also y’all’s guacamole is mashed avocado. There’s no salt, pepper, onion, cilantro, or lime juice. AND THE GUAC IS AN UPGRADE. The included salsa tastes better than the price increased mush. The best part of the taquito is the spicy sauce. We paid an upwards of $30 for disappointment Safe to say we will not be coming back."

"There is pretty much always a line for a reason! The doughnuts are at the highest quality as well as the coffee. The pretzel breakfast sandwich is a must. Very upscale boutique feel in the shop. Hard to decide which doughnuts to pick! I took home a dozen! Do not forget to try the chocolate chip cookies. This place is unforgettable."
