"Whilst the food was as good as usual, the service was incredibly slow. Once seated with menus, at 7.00 pm, we had to chase for a drinks order after waiting 20 mins. Hummus and bread took 35 mins to arrive. We chased up twice for our main course, which we didn’t get till 8.20 pm. We asked why it was taking so long and were told that the restaurant was very short on staff that night. The staff tried their best in difficult circumstances."

"The swan is a nice cuddly gastropub and the staff is always friendly. the problem is their portion control makes this bad price-performance ratio. the meat plate for 2 was just enough as a meal for 1 and the personal recognized the problem and removed the £17 from the bill. the most important cursor sizes were also economical with a minute of mushroom and tomaten accompanied the steak. fortunately the rib eye was excellent, that went one way to make it!"
