"It's been a while since I last visited Hokee Poke. Today I was at Delta Shores and was looking for a local business to support, instead of one of the chains they have available.I decided to treat myself to some poke, knowing this would be a more expensive option, but au was excited for some fresh fish. One thing I noticed right away is that they need to wipe down and clean everything better, it didn't look dirty, but it definitely needed some attention to clean the glass and around the food- I could have just missed a rush though. Even things like their signs with toppings listed are looking rough and like they need to be reprinted for customers to read and to have to store look put together. I ended up ordering the Large Poke box and I like that they have more eco friendly options with the cardboard boxes. I ended up with five scoops of assorted proteins, the Ono Spicy and Unagi sauces, green onions, brown rice, ginger, habanero masago, seaweed salad, crab salad and seaweed sprinkles. The box ended up being $22.34 after tax and a service fee and before tip. It was a nice treat, but I did get some hard rice bits where the brown rice had gotten dried out. I also wish I had either gotten some more veggies or asked if I could double up on some, as I was eating it I felt like it needed something- more crunch maybe. That part is on me for not thinking about the balance of ingredients better. Maybe it's because I've been spoiled with amazing poke in Hawaii, but my recent experience with Homer Poke gets an a-ok three stars."
