"Red rocks has an excellent, comfortable location in the old town; its neapolitan margherita pizza was tasteful; and its menu contains a series of excellent beside dishes, of which three we tried and enjoyed. our server shaughn was attentive, professional and well moistened. further and very important were the glasses of the wine and the cups of the coffee very generous."

"The service area of deli/walk up was much more impressive than the dining room on the top floor. the food was boiled (calamari meatballs) blande. not what we expected for high quality Italian cuisine ambiance, unless they are a minimalist without taste buds. the amount of food was sufficient, but overpriced. the service was average. we should have picked up a sandwich from the deli."

"Honestly if we do not focus on how overpriced is all of the good cheese and wine in the US period… this place is awesome. Staff was really nice and food will not disappoint. However… portions are TINY. I am from Spain so all of the best quality cheese can be found locally at such an affordable price.. so paying $50 for 4 tiny pieces of cheese… just hurts… but if we do not put that into consideration, this place is seriously a place you should visit."

"Cameron was outstanding!!! He was the perfect level of attentive, even though he had way too many tables to serve. I am not a wine drinker and Cameron offered a sample of a wine that was perfect. He listened to the flavor profile I enjoyed as well as that of my companion and somehow brought a sample both of us could drink He's a wine wizard lol. In addition to this recommendation he maintained his composure regardless of how many tables tried to get his attention and having to hustle to move guest sitting outside indoors, when the sky opened up l and it started to pour down rain. The hostesses were accommodating as well. The pleasant attitudes of every staff member made the experience enjoyable. Now for the food I had a whiskey flight which was lovely. I typically have sweet cocktails so I can't taste the alcohol but the apple, cinnamon and honey whiskeys were enjoyable straight. They were bittersweet with a distinct taste of apple, cinnamon or honey. I could enjoy any of the 3 blended into a hot totty or tea. We only partook in appetizers but the chicken quesadilla was seasoned perfectly. It was clearly fresh chicken breast, onions and green peppers. Not too salty or overly seasoned. The charcuterie board was tasty as well. I'm not a dip fan and I enjoyed the hummus and forgive my uncouthness for not recalling the name of the olive paste dip but it was good as well and I typically only enjoy olives on a supreme pizza. Very fresh food, abundant beer, wine spirit selections, excellent location (Old Town Alexandria)and professional attentive staff, what more could I ask for?"

"Whenever we order delivery, the portions are always significantly smaller although we pay more for the meal. Ordering in always piles to the lid so it hardly fits, yet delivery sizes are disappointing. Skip the convenience, and order onsite for double the portions."

"This is my new favorite spot in Alexandria! Great and fresh items to build your salad. There are soups and even taco meat, as well as, grilled chicken that can be added to your salad. The establishment is very clean. The customer service is nice!"
