"We stumbled on this little gem in a secluded alley off the main square. Fabulous food, excellent wine and friendly hosts above and beyond the normal fare offered everywhere else. We will return to try other unique menu items to share and may just eat here every night during our week long stay in Guimarães. So far recommend the asparagus dish, pumpkin soup and mango mousse with chocolate served in a flower pot!"

"We stopped here for lunch because we saw the chickens roasting on a spit outside and plenty of diners inside. The chicken was basted in a delicious sauce and came with a good salad (which also included sweetcorn) and fries or rice. It was good value for money!"

"The best feature of this restaurant is its location. Set in the historical Largo do Oliveira, next to the olive tree and opposite the church. Eating at the outdoor tables puts you in the middle of this nice setting. Unfortunately, the food doesn 't meet the standard of the location. I had the francesinha especial which was nothing special. Usually, an 'especial ' version of francesinha comes with a fried egg on top and with french fries. This one had no egg and had potato chips/crisps, instead of fries. And the francesinha itself was very average with a filling that was quite chewy. I would return to the square again to eat but would try one of the other adjacent restaurants."
