"I’m sure you have read all my other posts (haven’t you?? , and when you saw this one you thought: “Wow, from Dartmoor to Sheffield. She’s getting around.” Yep! I took my chances and boarded a train again… this time to the North. That’s what I do for family. I should get a medal for being so dedicated to travel for friends and family. My cousin decided some years ago to live in Sheffield with her husband. Nobody knows why. It sure isn’t for the weather: That time around it was cold, windy and it rained a bit. So… you know… the usual for Sheffield. To make the best out of this weekend, we went to the Victorian Christmas Market at the Kelham Island Museum, which is at least partially in doors. After having the worst – I’m not lying – THE worst chestnuts ever, we decided to go to the closest eating place to get rid of that memory: Craft Dough is just down the road."

"It was quiet as we drove past, so we took the plunge for a quick brunch stop. Superbly prepared food, a good price point and polite friendly service. Getting busy as we left, so a well timed spur of the moment stop. One star off though as no staff at all were wearing face coverings."

"I've been meaning to visit this place ever since I saw it opening finally went and I'm very impressed. Going inside we were greeted by the friendly staff and a bright, well designed interior very nice on a warm summer's evening. We had some good olives as a starter, then a delicious pizza and pasta and a sumptuous affogato for dessert. Felt like I was far away on holiday and not in Nether Edge! Service was friendly without being intrusive. Best of all, with the Sunday half price offer it all came in at a very reasonable price. I can see Casa Mia becoming a favourite."

"I did a street food workshop here with a group. It was such an enjoyable experience and excellent value I would highly recommend booking one for a group activity with a bit of a difference. Chris was so friendly and patient delivering the workshop and he talked passionately about the cause. The food was delicious too. We made chicken or tofu satay skewers and Thai fried rice and we were then given chocolate brownie or orange and almond cake for dessert (which was an unexpected bonus We will definitely be back soon to sample the main menu. The setting is lovely, open and relaxed and would be perfect for families."

"Fantastic food, the crumpets with guacamole were great, as was the hake with brown shrimp, but the standout was baked leeks with goat cheese. All the food was well beyond expectation. The ambience is light and airy, music pleasantly quiet, cheerful service. I have recommended this to all my friends."
