"Came in on a whim to order to-go. No plate combos. Everything ordered separately. Girl at the register was super sweet and helpful. Got 1 pound of brisket for $32, $5 for a small side of potato salad, and a small side of the cilantro-jalapeño slaw. Total about $45. Received my order in about 5 minutes. Music inside was a bit loud, but that’s just a personal preference and I only stayed for a minute. They keep bread, pickles, and onions behind the counter and the employees are happy to serve upon request. A little wary of the price initially, but goodness if that isn’t some of the moistest brisket I’ve ever had with a good peppery seasoning. Potato salad had a nice light mustard flavor, but still very flavorful and the slaw reminded me more of a salsa flavor with cabbage crunch, but still delicious. Overall, some of the best brisket I’ve had in years. Definitely a treat."

"This place serves hand made authentic Mexican dishes, not TexMex. Delicious dishes! The owner was very friendly and gave us good tips when choosing what to eat. We had our 7 and 13 year old and they were very happy with what they got too (the 7 year old chose off the kid’s menu).We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.It is not in the food court either, which is another positive because it’s quieter and less distracting, but be aware of that if looking for it in Katy Mills."

"We first went a little over 2 years ago, before they became as popular as they are now, and you can tell there is a significant difference overall. Food continues to be good but I don’t know if the rest of the issues can be ignored due to the food being good. We waited about 10-15 minutes in line (which was no issue) I ordered 2 flour tortilla tacos and all they had was corn tortillas. Disappointing and a bit frustrating after waiting for so long, but still ordered the tacos. When going to the register, I asked for small containers for salsa, and the cashier proceeded to tell me he could only give me 1 small container cause he had already given me some salsas. It’s fine no issue either, but I feel overall the atmosphere and service changed so much after getting more known."

"Nice portions! Be extra hungry or share your dish. The Venezuelan Tequeños were my favorite. The potato emanadas were so good! My son loved his Tacos Mixtos. Margaritas w tajín was beautiful and strong. My husband eats here every time he has to go to the Katy office. Gladys was our waitress and was very friendly and took her time to tell us about her different menu points and weekly events, such as live music Thurs Fri Sat. Accepts cash and card."

"SO GOOD!! Not only are the tacos delicious. So are the margaritas! The staff was beyond friendly and even went as far as to create a special spicy margarita for us! Highly recommend the barbacoa and steak on the tacos. Loved that you had the choice of original or deluxe (sour cream, queso fresco, avocado) for the tacos. Will be back for sure!"
