"We speak no Spanish, and know little of Oaxaca cuisine. Our waiter was very patient and selected the most delicious and incredibly great value meal. We would unreservedly recommend Cabuche to any diner. Loved it!"

"The food was good and the service by the Mexican staff was fantastic. There was a white woman (presumably owner or GM) who kept coming over to us and talking down to the server. It felt like she was trying to make us more comfortable as white guests, but it actually made us much more uncomfortable. We had a great experience communicating with our server and other waitstaff in spanish and didn’t need or want her patronizing intrusion. We walked by the next night and saw her making out at the bar with a man, which added to the weirdness and ambience. The food was good but didn’t justify the prices, even in a very touristic area."

"Probably one of the best tasting menu experiences I’ve ever had. Let alone that the food is simply delicious, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. We were there to celebrate our honeymoon and the staff did so much extra to make us feel special. Set with a minimalist decor, the restaurant truly focuses on its food. We opted for the 6 course meal without drink pairing as we preferred ordering a wine bottle. Each course was thoughtfully curated and of course esthetically pleasing. Will say that after the 6th meal we felt satisfied. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a culinary adventure in Oaxaca."

"On two different visits, I had seitan fajitas and spaghetti primavera. The seitan fajitas were not what you would think. Seitan and veggies cooked in a tasty sauce with rice on the side. The spaghetti was outstanding. Both dishes are highly recommended. Also had salads, which are outstanding. Just the right amount of dressing, flavorful and inventive. Even more vegan options than last year. Basically restaurant is Italian-Mexican fusion. Vegan options clearly labeled. Best option in Oaxaca for vegans, by far!"
