"Went to this shop on Monday. It was by far the most disgusting Asian Food I ever had, not exaggerated !! I ordered Salmon with vegetables and Rice in Teriyaki Sauce ... Just to think back on it makes me shake. The whole plate was drowning ( !!! ) in Sauce. Everything was just full of Teriyaki Sauce, the fish had no Taste but a uber sweet Teriyaki Sauce, and so did the rice and vegetables. Nothing had a taste anymore just sauce. I ordered a little Sushi Menu as well, was Maki Sushi with Cucumber, Spinach and Avocado - Gross ! The Rice was definitly NO sushi rice. I've eaten alot sushi im my life to definitly bein convinced that this was a cheap Glue-somewhat rice, just soaked of water - yuck. That's not how to make sushi guys ! The Miso Soup was ok , but basically it was just a pot of water with 2 little inserts in it. All in all i really can't understand why people hyped this so much . Either they never had good Asian Food before or they just like "cheap" food - Literally. However I'll never go there again and I wouldn't even recommend this "Restaurant" to people who wanna try . I'm sorry but there's just nothing positive to say."

"Allgemeinnachdem ich seit längerem nicht mehr im Pippin war (zuletzt 2014), hatte ich jetzt die Gelegenheit, dort noch einmal zu essen. Beim Pippin handelt es sich um ein altes, renoviertes Haus, ruhig mitten im Wohngebiet gelegen. Parken in der näheren Umgebung problematisch, da die meisten Plätze belegt waren und das naheliegende Parkhaus Franziskushospital nur bis 22.00 h geöffnet hat. Im Gegensatz zu meiner letzten Bewertung musste ich sehr zu meiner Freude feststellen, dass sich die Qualität wieder auf dem ursprünglichen Stand befindet.Hier die Details:BedienungZur Bedienung ist nicht viel zu sagen, die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich aber es ist noch Luft nach oben im Bereich Betreuung. Nachfragen über Wünsche waren eher selten. Sehr gut war der Hinweis, dass an unserem Besuchstag ein Einheitspreis für ein Komplettmenu angeboten wurde.Das Essennach wie vor gefällt mir das Konzept mit den wechselnden Themen und somit wechselnden Speisen auf monatlicher Basis sehr gut. Dadurch ist die Speisekarte recht übersichtlich (was ich sehr schätze) und es ist für Abwechslung gesorgt. Auch die Weinkarte bietet wenige, aber ganz interessante Weine. Bei unserem Besuch war das Thema Summer in the City. Ich hatte als Vorspeise Oslo: gekühltes Gurken-Sauerrahm-Süppchen, krosse Kartoffel-Spiralen, gebeizter Dill-Wildlachs. Sehr erfrischend bei dem warmen Wetter und gut abgeschmeckt. Sehr zu empfehlen.Als Hauptgang hatte ich Paris: Tagliatelle "Ente á l´orange, Orangen-Chardonnay-Entenkeulenragout, gegrillte Artischocke & junger Spinat und sun dried-Tomaten-Sugo. Alles gut abgeschmeckt, die Pasta auf den Punkt, die Ente noch leicht rosa. Viel besser geht es nicht.Zum Dessert hatte ich Miami: Halbflüssiges Schokoladen-Soufflée, tropisches Obst-Ragout und Ananas-Sorbet. Das war einfach sehr gut, besonders das Soufflée. Hier war wirklich der Anteil halbflüssig und durchgebacken optimal, habe ich noch nicht besser bekommen.Das AmbienteEinrichtung Restaurant zwischen Moderne und Klassisch, aber sehr gemütlich. Die Tische sind Holztische, Stühle ebenfalls und mit Sky-Überzug, die Tische minimalistisch eingedeckt, eher Bistroatmosphäre. Es war recht voll, daher der Lärmpegel für meinen Geschmack zeitweise etwas zu hoch. Das Publikum war gemischt, zwischen 20 und 50 Jahren. Insgesamt für mich sehr empfehlenswert, aber für eine Abendgesellschaft nicht geeignet.SauberkeitSauberkeit war ok, kein Grund zur Beanstandung, Toiletten ebenfalls sauber, wenn auch klein und minimalistisch."

"..but that would be a mistake. You do not go to Curry-Palast to dine but to refuel. Any restaurant that has been going for some 40 plus years has clearly got something right. The menu has something for everyone at truly remarkable prices. Currywurst and pommes frites, schnitzel, and a couple of drinks for €20. Simple, tasty, generous, unpretentious."
