"We spent our labour day weekend in Halifax. We walked pass this restaurant in the first night, went in and decided to go for all you can eat hot pot. We chose two base soups and ordered a dish of beef, lamb and shrimp. Because these 3 items are not included in all you can eat . I think beef and lamb were worth to order, but shrimp was not peeled so I didn 't enjoy them. There are many choices and variety in the buffet. We are happy with most of items in the buffet. When the base soup got lower later, we asked to add more, but we were charged for add more . I 'd not recommend to order tea because we barely drank our tea. Tea seems not go along well with hot pot."

"We went to Henry House twice during our Halifax visit. The first time we went down into the pub and had drinks. Next evening, we went back for dinner. My wife had fish and chips, and I had salmon fettucine. Both excellent and great ambiance. A Top notch establishment."

"I was in cora’s in alberta and was impressed by positiw, this place impressed me negatiw. the service was excellent. the personal was impressive. when parking under the building, a parking voucher is provided. the rest is not so good. the chic I ordered was almost delicious, the bad preparation overshadowed the taste. the kartoffels were not crispy or even browned in a skill, it was as if they just came out of boiling water. the toast was not roasted. that was usually kartoffel. I didn't ask for replacement food, I didn't ask for a discount. I was tired and hungry after I was driving half an hour to get to halifax, just to be disappointed by the breakfast. sad, but true."

"We were the first to arrive for Saturday brunch, and I felt like we had star treats. The restaurant itself is very unique and we sat under the glass ceiling. There were fresh flowers scattered over the room that felt like we were at a celebration. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I had the lobster Benedict and groundless mimoses, and she was fast with the refills. She was also helpful and showed some things to see in the city. I wish we had another day in Halifax to eat here!"

"Awesome little Vietnamese restaurant on Barrington Street. Had a good bowl of the P9 - pho with beef balls and rice noodles. Great speedy service and staff were super friendly.Came in for an early dinner and was seated straight away. It was quiet - only about 4 other tables of patrons in the restaurant, but I'll put that down to coming in at 5.30pm to have dinner. They have a varied menu with both Chinese and Vietnamese dishes on the menu and decent portion sizes. Lots of people stopping in to collect takeout orders, but the staff were always around refreshing teapots with hot water and asking how the meals are. Prices are good for downtown Halifax."

"Why no one at our hotel recommended this place is beyond me! The fish cakes appetizer defies its description on the menu -- incredibly light & fluffy with a surprisingly powerful celery & green onion seasoning mixed with buttery-tasting haddock, salmon & crab. Hubby loved the seafood carbonara. I thought the fish tacos had the best-tasting haddock I've tried yet. Let's not forget the very attentive service provided by Ishwin, our server. He patiently answered our naive Midwesterner questions and let us know which dishes got the best reviews from customers. You need to try this place!"
