"Kimchi jigae was properly spicy and full of flavour. Recommended by a cab driver who said he drove some koreans here. According to the cabbie, the koreans said it tastes like home . Really nice staff too."

"After some months of traveling through South America, this place was such a treat. We ordered a big plate of all different kinds of meat and cheese. Most of it you cannot easily get around here. I was in food heaven. Great wines to drink with it too. And the bread is so tasty! The only thing I missed was some really aged salty Dutch cheese (I miss that so much when I'm away from home).Servers are super friendly and very hospitable. Location is perfect, great view on the street."

"“Rodizio” is a Portuguese word meaning “a round of meats.” This restaurant is an all-you can-eat type of affair, so if you are a meat-lover, you will be in heaven. There is no menu, just rounds of beef tenderloin, sirloin tips, chorizos, raisin pork, chicken...and beef heart, nuggets of robalo, and probably a few other goodies I forgot to mention. There is a total of 11 different meats on the Rodizio. The main course is served “Fogo Brazil style” (on a spit). The smorgasbord of meats is accompanied with a curry-style rice, Brazilian beans, shredded salad, grilled pineapple and arepas. The usual assortment of fruit juices, soft drinks and cervezas are available to accompany the meal. There is also a wine selection. (We did not try the wine, but the fruit juices were fresh and delicious. I don’t usually get into Poblado, but la senora and I had a 4-hour meeting in the Parque Empresarial building. By the time we broke, it was well past 3 pm and way too late for lunch, but close enough for dinner. Our agent convinced us to try out Amarelo. The best way to describe the restaurant is cozy It is a great place for intimate dining while stuffing your face… LOL. The place is probably too small to accommodate a large party, though. The other thing that struck me is that the music is smooth and soft as opposed to the usual high-decibel latin music. You can actually carry on a conversation at normal voice volumes. The wait staff was courteous and attentive. The waiter and the chef never let our plates become empty… they were always on top. My wife considered the meat cuts “outstanding” while I thought they were just “OK.” I found the seasoning to be lacking zest. It was also not as tender as I would have liked it. I understand my Colombian wife’s “outstanding”. Paisas seem to like meats that are mild, almost bland and chewy. So, the numerical average of my “average” and her “outstanding” is “excellent.” IMHO, though… all the sides that came with the meal are excellent. The dinner-lunch was topped off with a delicious helping of Brazilian cheesecake and a “tinto.” The total bill of a rodizio for two came to COP$ 100,000 (about $55). Pricey by Colombian standards, but a visiting tourist might not blink an eye. If you are a meat-lover, and are looking for an intimate place to take your girlfriend or date, I would recommend Amarelo Rodizio. I imagine this little restaurant might have potential for a romantic dinner with someone special. A small epilogue: We stopped by the office to pick up our paperwork after lunch. Daniela, our agent, asked how we liked it. She asked me if I paid for two. I said “What?” She repeated the question. I said, “Of course, I did!” She then added, “I should have told you, you could have paid for one, and shared one plate. It would have been half price.” DUH… LOL. So, our tip is... pay for one plate, share it, eat all you want... for half the price."

"I´ve been to Olivia's twice within the last month or so, each time with a bunch of other expats. The first time was great - I think I had the mushroom pizza - and the other people in the group all seemed very pleased with their meal. The salads looked really good and the lemonades very nice although a carnivorous friend found his meat pizza rather underwhelming, The ambience was very convivial but it did take forever to get the bills sorted. The second time was a big disappointment. I ordered the seafood pizza (a premium-priced one) and the pizza was extremely deficient in the seafood department. My friend´s seafood salad had waaay more seafood and was (if I remember correctly) half the price. Then the procedure with the bill - although the group had asked for separate checks when ordering - it came as one check and sorting it out and remedying the mistakes was so arduous and time-consuming that it quite spoilt the evening, at least for me. Everyone else´s meal seemed fine but everyone agreed the bill settlement had been a total pain. I have been boycotting the place since then, at least for now, but I have just spotted a mushroom pizza take-out offer, so maybe.....In the meantime, I will be going to Zorba's."

"We had two good tofu curries good level of spice and a delicious green mango salad. The service was very quick. The only downside is that the restaurant was overpowered by two competing neighbouring bars’ soundsystems, which were up so loud you could...literally feel the beat. The restaurant tried and failed to disguise this by playing their own music, which meant there were three different loud songs at any one time. Quite distracting really. It might be better to seat people inside and close the doors."

"We came here to save Salpicon. Salpicon is basically a fruit salad and you can add ice cream, cheese, nuts, oats if you wish. As an American, I only recommend adding ice cream. It is delicious and somewhat nutritious because of the tropical fruit mango, papaya, banana, apple and pineapple. The menu options are extensive - from salads, main dishes, juices and ice cream. In addition to the Spanish menu, they offer an English menu. It seems that the popular items are the salpicon and juices - therefore the name “salpijugos”. This place is very child-friendly - there are books, dolls, horse-rocker, fooseball table and other games that take the hall into the toilets. We went on Wednesday afternoon at 2 a.m. and it wasn't crowded at all. We're here for dinner and it's getting pretty crowded. Parking can be difficult, but there was an employee in front of the restaurant to lead us. When you visit a tourist Medellín, this is a great place to feel like a local. Prices are very reasonable. The ice desserts are about $2-$3. If you come to dinner, make sure you save space for dessert! You won't regret it!"

"I was excited about this restaurant because of the decor and the idea of surf turf. So I brought my tour mates along, first the menu with in Spanish so it took minutes for our tour guide to translate. Then we ordered red...wine, a cabernet sav blend and it came in an ice bucket which we immediately took out since it should not be chilled. (Mind you are waitresses is new) I ordered fish and so did my tour mate but she ordered fish with chimichurri, the waitress kept insisting her order was correct but it was not. In the end we ate our meals and headed out. But I dont think we will be going again sorry to say. Food is good service is so-so."
