"The other day, a friend and I decided to grab a bite to eat. Seeing there is a PAPA JOHN'S just down the road, we decided to grab a PIZZA. Having enjoyed the pizza from the Niagara Falls PAPA JOHN'S, we figured that the same pizza and service was available in PICKERING. WELL, WE WERE WRONG about that assumption. The pizza was good, as the cheese is still a favourite of my friends. The Meat-Lovers pizza is what we ordered, as we both like that selection, and of course we both KNEW that at PJ'S we wouldn't have to wait too long for our pizza! WRONG we were, because we waited for about half an hour for our pizza to be ready. After waiting patiently inside the store for at least 20 MINUTES, we decided to step outside and grab some FRESH AIR. My friend went back into the store twice to see if our pizza was ready, and she was told both times that it would be about 10 more minutes. As soon as she came out of the store the second time, I went into the store and noticed a pizza that had been sitting on the shelf for a couple of minutes. I asked if our pizza was ready, I was told NO, your pizza will be about 10 more minutes. I asked what was taking so long with our pizza, I was told that it takes 10 minutes for any pizza to be made. I explained that we travel a lot, and we are repeat customers of PAPA JOHN'S, and we never ever had to wait for over half an hour for a pizza before, the pizza maker got upset with me and said it would take 10 more minutes for our pizza. I pointed to the lone pizza sitting on the counter, I asked who is that pizza for, HE asked me what name the pizza was for, that we were waiting for, I responded with my friends name. He said, this is the pizza that you are waiting for, I asked how long the pizza had been ready for us. HE looked at me and said, this pizza just got out of the oven ! I personally saw the pizza sitting there for a couple of minutes, and I was ready to ask for the money back for this semi-warm pizza, but my friend was famished and really looking forward to a PAPA JOHN'S pizza, so we decided to just take the pizza and hoped it was warm. WE were WRONG on that assumption also. Having been able to reflect back on the usual SERVICE and QUALITY of the numerous other PAPA JOHN'S, we are surprised at the LACK of both of these standards at this particular PAPA JOHN'S in PICKERING ONTARIO at 820 Kingston Road. So if you are not too impressed by this particular store, rest assured, this is NOT the usual service that PAPA JOHN'S delivers. I for one, am DISAPPOINTED that this type of SERVICE and BEHAVIOUR is going on in Pickering. My friend is NOT going to try this place again, and after having a cool pizza, I can't blame her, but I might convince her to try another PAPA JOHN'S somewhere other than here ! With any luck the manager of this store will read this and set the PIZZA PERSON in their place, explain to him that bold faced LYING to a customer is NOT usual PAPA JOHN'S customs."

"Ordered take out today for my son’s birthday. Went to pick up food and before I left, I asked if all the items were in one cramped bag to which they said “yes”. Went home and noticed a dish missing. Called the place and they didn’t believe me and asked for a picture. Went back to the store and I asked if I they thought that I’d honestly be untruthful to which they replied that it happens often. Disgusting and incompetent service. Contacted via email as requested by the Owner in his response a few times. No reply whatsoever. As previously stated, disgusting and incompetent!"

"Without a doubt the best Chinese food for 100s of miles. My family has been patronizing the restaurant since it opened.Never had a bad meal not even an average one it’s always excellent quality service value can’t be beat... I’m surprised by any complaints perhaps...you just don’t know good fresh food when you taste it. Keep up the great work Paul!"

"On this visit, I had the Chili Chicken, served with a spring roll and rice. It was a generous serving of chicken, and a decent sized spring roll, but I would have preferred a bit more rice to balance the meal. It tasted pretty good but with nearby Hakka restaurants serving similar dishes for a lower price, it's not such a great deal. I'll be back for my favourite dish here, Thai Spicy Noodles, with chicken or beef."

"Red house is my go-to Thai place when Im home in Pickering. I always get green curry chicken. Lunch item is smaller and comes with 2 spring rolls. Always quick and fresh and the orders are always exactly as ordered. All options are very affordable."

"Standard coffee available. The coffee itself is very nice. You can tell that it has been stored properly and ground fresh because there is not a bitter taste that some Tim Hortons shops have in their coffee. The cookie was quite okay too. Overall, a pretty decent place. The person who took my order was so nice, she didn't get mad at me for fumbling with my order so I really appreciate that. Good customer service here in my opinion. I just wish they had more menu options. But looking at the prices, I understand the basic menu. Would def recommend this place if you're a fan of coffee and a sweet thing on the side. ? ?"

"We got a flyer for this new place. Thought would be best to pick up as other pizza places cant deliver on time. Drove out to Clements Rd. Its situated in an industrial area and its a bit sketch. Never been out that way before. Ordered 4 different pizzas as the price was cheap. They give you an option of different dough, thick, regular and thin crust. I ordered two regular and two thin crust. To be honest there was no difference in the two. Maybe I needed to be more specific in the comment area to make it extra thin. The ingredients are very generous, they give you lots of topping and cheese which is nice. Over all the pizza is pretty good, next time will give them more instructions on how I like the crust, extra thin and well done. this would make the pizza more crunchy. I think if I gave it specific instructions it would of been a 5 star. Over all good pizza and great price. Next time I will also choose the delivery option as its free and saves me driving all the way out to in the middle of no where. People who work/owns the place seem nice and its important for us to support local business."
