"This place hosts an amazing dinner ambience with perfect mood lighting. Visited on a Saturday night at 9.30pm which happened to be guest DJ night so the music was loud (but good) just check in beforehand if you plan on having a quieter evening. I would recommend also to reserve a table on Google through Resy way before as it gets packed. We planned on having dinner at 7.30pm but had an open spot at 9.15pm. We called prior too to check if there was a wait time then but the staff could not specify a duration and it was full house at 7.30pm. Needless to say the wait was worth it the fried calamari and pork chops were very delicious! The Greek salad was standard, but the skirt steak was way too salty (maybe it was just my plate). We took home the steak and it was better the next day. We saw many groups having girls' night out while we were there so this is definitely the spot for that!"

"Good crab cake at the price. The service was great. The salad bar was the best iceberg salad and nothing special. The ambience was not unusual, but comfortable. Crab cakes were big and good for the price (2 big cakes with 2 pages $16.00). I wouldn't say this was the best crab cake I had. Crab soup had a lot of crabs."

"After so many years order nothing but your wonderful rock shrimps, I ordered a file Mignon and you are right, you have the BEST steaks. That's the best I ever had! Wonderful meal at an affordable price. Always great at JC Riptide with wonderful, attentive service, and hands to owners who ensure that your evening is pleasant and your meal is right. Great conversation last night. Riptides is definitely one of the best places to eat, a real hometown jewel. Great salads, always served on a chilled plate and my husband loves your Oak Hill Chowder. I am a creature of old habits, love a baked potato with a steak or rock shrimps, and the way you really bake them with salt on them is the best. Quint, large staff and very affordable."
